I've been making beaded jewelry since I was about 9 years old. A family friend owned a bead store in Oberlin, Ohio, where I grew up, and I spent many hours in her store. I still have some of the beads I got way back when at Bead Paradise, and I use them from time to time. I'm not quite sure when I purchased the seed beads in this necklace (sometime in the '80s), but I bought a whole hank of them, because I loved the mix of pinks, browns, burgundy, and metallic accents, and they've been tucked away in a bead box for years. They were a perfect match for this simple set of multi-hued beads.
This necklace has three strands of seed beads strung through the large holes of the flameworked glass beads and textured sterling silver sliders. The sterling clasp is two interlocking puzzle pieces, and the entire necklace measures approx. 17."
