Blue Bee Pendant

Many bee species don't live in colonies, but rather are solitary. Many of these solitary bees are considered "super-pollinators" because they don't have pollen baskets like honeybees, so more pollen falls off the bees as they move from flower to flower.

This pendant draws inspiration from a Blue Carpenter Bee. The base glass is a marbled blue base glass.

This pendant has a loop on the back, and comes ready to wear on a length of black cord. It is created first in the flame using soda lime glass, and then I hand-painted the detail on the bee using vitreous enamel. The piece is fully annealed, and measures 30mm round.
