Private Instruction

I offer private instruction in my studio in Tucson, Arizona.  I can accommodate 1 or 2 students.  You can choose a half day, full day, or 2 day class.  We will work together to customize your class based on what you'd most like to learn.  I feel that my strengths as a teacher are in pushing the intermediate beadmaker to refine their shaping, heat control, and use of color.  Feel free to browse the topics in my Group Class offerings, and contact me to book your class!

Half day classes run approximately 4 hours.

Full day classes run approximately 7.5- 8.5 hours, including lunch.

Glass, supplies, a notebook detailing the techniques covered in class, and lunch (for 8 and 16 hour classes) is provided.

Pricing:

1 student:  $180 for 4 hours; $350 for 8; $675 for 16 hours

2 students: $225 for 4 hours; $425 for 8; $800 for 16 hours

Pay now for your class and SAVE as much as $75!!  Contact me to schedule your class.

If you are coming from out of town, I would be happy to recommend several nearby hotels.

Please contact me to schedule your private class, and please don't hesitate to contact me should you have any other questions.

In some cases, I can come to you, especially if I'm in your area for another class or show.   Contact me for info and pricing for private classes outside Tucson.

Testimonials from Students

Previous & current students: please email me your testimonials; I'd love to read and post them!

"I've taken 3 classes with Margaret (2 workshops and 1 private class) and she really helped me turn a corner in my beadmaking.  I was struggling with some beginning techniques and Margaret's patience and teaching style really helped me over a technical hump.  I just love the yoga and ergomonic insturctions at the beginning of class: "Our shoulders belong to our back, not our chest" is in my head forever!!  Her step by step class with note book is consice and straight forward.  I would take classes with Margaret any day!"

"I have taken  Margaret's "Shaping and a Little Color"  and her class "Focus on Color" in groups with other students. Both classes were both fun and informative. Margaret explains everything in detail and helps each student. She has a wealth of knowledge on the use of emamels.  Both classes helped me get my rective glass to 'Pop'."

"I took my first lampworked bead making class from Margaret at the Glass Craft and Bead Expo in Las Vegas four or five years ago.  I was so impressed with her as a teacher and artist, that I have taken  three  more classes from her. The classes are fun, informative, well organized, with thorough demonstrations followed by GREAT INDIVIDUAL HELP.  I highly recommend any of Margaret's classes!"
