Mazes

2010greensmazesMazes and labyrinths hold deep cultural and spiritual significance, and have always been a source of fascination for me. I embrace the technical and creative challenges of creating these mazes, and hope observers enjoy the challenge of solving them.

To create these pieces, I first shape the base glass in the flame. Once each piece has annealed and cooled, I create the maze by painting with vitreous enamel on the surface, making sure that each piece contains at least one possible solution or route through the maze. Then, each piece is returned to the flame to "melt" the enamels onto the sculpted base.

Mazes available as:
Single Focal Beads, $85 and up
Mini Mazes, $30 each
Maze Marbles, $120 and up

Pairs well with: Solid Accent Beads, Enamel Accent Bead Sets
